The big question... Is your power on?

Call 1-800-9-OUTAGE more more information about power outages.

Also, from a reader: If you call that number you can give Entergy your alternate number and you will get a courtesy call to let you know when your power is restored.

I called the number and spoke with a representative who told methat this is not true because they do not have a way to know when the power is on at individual homes. Mixed messages.

I also called the 800 number and was told the same thing as luvsgiraffes. This thing is too big to give individual service.

i have called entergy for 3 days and every time i clearly asked them if we have power at my home. every time they said no. meanwhile, my friend passed by my house after he returned late yesterday and saw that my meter was running and door bell worked. so i called entergy one more time and asked and they still said i had none. SO dont rely on them telling u that u do or dont. i probably been having power this whole time while racking up hotel & gas bills!!....finally they told me that they cannot determine if u have power or not unless your calling from that exact location.

i just called them and spoke with ms shannon who said they cdan do trhe courtesy call to an alternate number but you may get called if a street in your area gets power instead of yours...so it can be done just like other times when the electric goes out andf you can get a call back....

Oakland Estates is suppose to have power, well the inside of the horse shoe West and East Oakland has NO POWER. Beginning at Bread of life church all the way back to 254 West Oakland, not sure of address on East Oakland. We are pretty sure that the problem is a transformer in a backyard on East Oakland. We have NO POWER...
