Yes, this site is very helpful. Great work. It is the only one of its kind in the metro area.

I've posted this several times, but you guys have gone above and beyond the call of duty. Thank you again for keeping us all updated and allowing us to have a "piece of home." You are keeping us all connected even though we are scattered around many states. To me, you guys have been nothing short of a Blessing from Above. Thanks for the videos, the updates, and thanks to everyone else for the comments. I feel very blessed to live in St. Charles Parish.

A quick report from the EOC...
I know many of you are concerned about your homes, I have been everywhere and there is little structural damage in the Parish with few exceptions. Power is coming on-line, but most of you will return to a home without power. Even when power is restored it's fragile and tends to go off-line. We are extremely busy and would appreciate your assistance by only calling us for critical needs. We are aware about all the power lines and trees that are down so there is no need to report that information to us. I have instructed my staff and our Public Information Officer to place as much information as possible on the internet, TV, Radio, 1370AM and via two calls per day to all of our residents who have signed up to receive information from our Alert System. Tab Troxler, EOC Director (10:45AM - Sept. 2, 2008)

My parents and sister from Luling came up here to Arkansas. It has been great for them to be able to follow what is going on in SCP while they are here. I am not letting them return until the power is restored so the blog is great to keep them current on what is happening down there. Thanks for all the great info.
