Residents in the Bayou Gauche and Des Allemands are not allowed to ride ATVs on any levees. The St. Charles Parish Sheriff's Office will arrest those who are in violation of this rule.
My name is Paulette Verdin and my back yard faces the Bayou Gauche levee. This summer I made several calls to the sheriff`s office about this problem and no action was taken.Wildlife and Fisheries would not have trouble in confiscating boat,motor and trailer if unlawful hunting was discovered .What`s the problem,take the ATVs.Who will take the blame should our levee break and our homes flood due to weakened levees?
