ST. CHARLES PARISH MONITORING WINTER WEATHER

The St. Charles Parish Emergency Operations Center is monitoring possible severe winter weather conditions for the night of Dec.7 and early morning of Dec. 8. However, the parish is not currently included in a Winter Weather Advisory.

As of 2 p.m. the National Weather Service has forecasted that our area will receive sleet and light snow beginning tomorrow very early morning and continuing until around noon. No accumulation is expected.

There are currently no concerns about elevated roadways and bridges in our parish; however, the Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) has aggregate, sand piles and salt spreaders ready to be deployed if needed.
