Has anyone seen Entergy vehicles in Montz? I'd be happy to know they drove through. I think that's what most people want to hear. Waiting is less painful when you know they're aware of the problems that prevent power in your area.

Haven't had power on Maryland Dr in Luling for 4 days.
Transmitter is down on Maryland Dr and Primrose.

Wow, Larry Cochran must be asleep at the wheel again because of the entire list of power restored areas, St. Rose is not listed anywhere. Way to go Larry. We'll remember this when elections come around. Go back to sleep now...

Please note this list is only based on reports we have gotten from residents. There may be more areas with power that we have not heard about.

There is no listings for power on in St.Rose . When are we going to get power? It's a shame we are being ignored . Who should we call to get something done ?

Anonymous said...

Ormond blvd is listed as having power but at least a portion of it is still out.

3 of us without power on chestnut pl and half of Bernice still out since Monday. I thought down trees on powerlines were a hazard? If so, why is it still there?

Any word about St Rose, particularly Dianne Place?

Anonymous said...

In Willowdale, Dogwood and Wisteria are still without power. The surrounding streets appear to have power as of last night 8/31. Did someone forget a switch? Please confirm if these two streets have not been lost or forgotten in communications.

My parents called last night and there is power along Arlington Drive in Luling (in David Plantation) and the surrounding streest.

When are we going to start getting some power in St. Rose? Not a repair crew in sight And one neighborhood listed with power restored?

Anonymous said...

Went to Entergy Storm Center Customer Serrvice this morning to register address as power outage just in case we are lost in miscommunications.

Anonymous said...

Did Entergy forget about Montz? When will they show up here? We are paying customers as well....

Parish officials: Where is Entergy?

Any updates on Ama, specifically Ama RV Park?

Anonymous said...

Any updates on Barton avenue in Luling? From what I understand most of the street has power with the exception of 10-15 homes, one of which is mine. I have sent several outage reports and status requests to Entergy with no response. My family and I are still evacuated. We are waiting on the power to come back on to return home. Any updates, info would be greatly appreciated.

Anonymous said...

No updates for montz? Parish officials shame on you. We will remember when elections come around.

Anonymous said...

It would be a confidence and morale booster if we could see council persons taken inventory of power needs in their respective area and then working with Entergy to diseminate info.

There is still no power at 415 Wade Street in Luling. Wade Street is listed as HAVING power! We do NOT have power - Amanda

Anonymous said...

Correction....ALL of Bernice is out! Lots of elderly people live on this street. Saw entergy working barton by us and asked if we would get worked on and the guy said he couldn't say! REALLY?! Cuz ur right here and can't go a street over!

So sick and tired f not having power in Bar None in St. Rose. Every street on both sides of us have power restored. There is no reason this is taking so long.

Anybody know if Charlestown have power????

Anonymous said...

no power river village dr
no trucks on river road or the streets. where are they?

Anonymous said...

Seeing how Montz is Entergy Louisiana and not Entergy New Orleans, do we, the residences, have to contact St. John parish ourself to follow up or will St. Charles parish do that for us?

Anonymous said...

Today makes day 6 no power. I am a little confused why our parish officials do not feel it is important to have a distribution center for water, food, an ice. Parishes on both sides of St. Charles are eligible for assistance from FEMA but not us. This makes no sense! How to do issue mandatory evacuation, have no power and ask for no help for your people?????

Anonymous said...

We are still without power in Montz - I know that we share the laplace zipcode but we are still part of St. Charles Parish! According to Entergy the power station is underwater off of Evangeline and they are waiting on the parish to pump out the water so they can restore the power... WELL!!! Can someone tell me what is being done to start pumping water? Kids have school come tuesday yet we have no power, no free water, ice or MRE's, etc.... I sure hope parish officials aren't enjoying their holiday weekend when we are still in the midst of a crisis.

What is The St. Charles Parish government doing to get the power back on in St. Rose? Maybe they should take a lesson from Jefferson Parish President, John Young. It seems as though he ACTUALLY cares about the residents in his Parish and not just votes and bureaucracy like V.J. St. Pierre. He should resign as well. This is absolutely ridiculous. Have they forgotten about St. Rose? Been working at the same spot, between Riverbend & Alamedia, for 3 days now. And have also been staged at Alliance street by the sub station for the second day in a row talking doing NO WORK. Can you do your job Mr. St. Pierre and serve the residents of St. Charles Parish like you were elected to do because residents will remember this when election time comes back up.

St. Charles Parish said...

I am going to post an update on St. Rose shortly... According to our Entergy rep the substation for Montz is in LaPlace and until waters recede there cannot come back online.

Unknown said...

Just a heads up that not all of Albania Drive in Luling has power-- the back half is still without!

Anonymous said...

Montz update... I called Entergy and provided my home address as having a power outage - seemed like they didn't really know we had power outages but I could be wrong. They asked if we had downed lines or water and I advised that we did not - at least at this address.

They indicate that the area was "not hampered" for access. Regardless of whether it is Entergy new orleans or Entergy Louisiana the services will be restored. I asked if the power restoration was affected by flooding in laplace but she states that the system does not show any problems affecting the outage.

Maybe now that I called - they will get someone out there. As i advised if there are no downed lines and no water, they should be restoring those areas first.

Anonymous said...

St. Charles..... maybe we need to put the pressure on Entergy as Mr. Young did for Jeff Parish.

Why should entergy's priorities be businesses over residences. If Montz is on the same grid as Laplace -why are the business along Airline and other places along River Road restored for power yet montz is still sitting in the dark?

We need a voice!

Unknown said...

The back half of Albania Drive in Luling now has power restored!

Montz resident said...

I have family in Laplace that have power, but those of us in Montz with no damage still live in darkness. I live in Country Cottage, no downed trees or flooding, what is going on?

St. Charles Parish said...

Please check the Sunday morning update at www.sthcharlesparish-la.gov for info on Montz power.

Anonymous said...

From the St John Parish website "except for isolated areas, Entergy circuits are energized from Marathon to Bayou Steel."

If that's the case, then there should be no problem turning the power on in Montz.

Anonymous said...

I'm unsure as to how long ago this was updated but there's power on Riverview Drive in Saint Rose. Just an fyi for those who may not have returned..

Anonymous said...

Bar None now also has power too, except for my street, Wagon Train Lane, don't know if I can last another day.

Anonymous said...

Does anyone know why the outages are reset late night? I hate to think it's to pad numbers or find out who's actually home. I've been checking the map and texting periodically so I know I'm not crazy. I know these folks are working hard.

Day 6 in Montz with no power. The most frustrating part of this is the lack of answers from our parish officials. We just want to know why we have gone 6 days without & when we can expect it back. Please don't refer me to the times picayune again, I want answers from those who are supposed to be helping us through this

St. Charles Parish said...

They are hopeful to have it up today. We have the same information from Entergy that the Herald-Guide reports here. We have also been including this information in our public information on our website.

Correction, I think those were generators

Anonymous said...

Dunleith Dr power just went out...

Anonymous said...

To St Charles Parish: why aren't you elected officials fighting for us? Since it seems you have lost situational awareness, Montz is without power again. Get out from behind your desk in your air conditioned office and do something.

St. Charles Parish said...

Yes, Montz is out of power today and should be back within a few hours. We have posted this on our website. We apologize that we cannot update this list 24/7.
