Willowdale Power Update from EOC

We were informed by Entergy that the Willowdale / Willowridge area may be one of the last locations within St. Charles Parish to get power because of the extensive interference with trees in that area. As a fellow resident I am also disappointed, however, I assure everyone Entergy is getting the job done quickly and efficiently. Many of the current outages are grid-related and not the service lines. We are expecting a large number homes to be back on power this evening. Again, please be patient.

Next to being flooded or having a tree go through my house, this is probably the worst possible news we could get. This hotel bill may end up costing me upwards of $2k. Ridiculously disheartening.

Is there an estimated completion date for power to the Willodale/Willowridge areas???

No specific date, but they are telling me within the next few days we will be back on. My family is returning today and we are just going to rough it. Tab

As much as I hate to say, the wires are a mess in Willowdale. Lines are down behind my house (9 tee) and I can see branches tangled down the line. Much worse than Katrina.

We just had a conversation with someone from Des Allemands who said it would be 4-10 weeks before some of the power is restored. Is this accurate?? We have 3 huge oaks behind our home on Beaupre & wonder if they are still up or have fallen? Our power lines are underground. The home in Des Allemands is on Maloney Road. Any info on Des Allemands? We have an elderly resident with us who can't possibly live without power. Thanks.

Any estimate on when Ashton will be restored?

If Willowdale is going to take a while....are we talking a day or 5 days or worse??? Any idea of a rough timeline???
Ruben....about your bills...
after Katrina, I turned in my receipts for my expenses from the evacuation to my insurance company and was reimbursed with no claims necessary. It was possible because if your area has a "mandatory" evac, you could turn them in, up to 1500$ I think.
Look into it!!

Are the lift stations expected to have power, when this large number of homes comes back on power this evening? I'm concerned about returning with limited sewerage services.

Ruben - go to www.fema.gov or call 1-800-621-FEMA (3362) to apply for assistance for your evacuation expenses.

It really is time to bury ALL of the power lines from Rt. 90 back into Willowridge. We've got too many trees to keep putting up with this every time a storm comes through. It seems to me that Entergy would save money...

Tab, Renee and the rest of the SCP crew, thanks for everything ..This website has been a lifesaver.

If it is going to take the next few days to get the power in Willowdale back up and running, how are the school going to open when some people don't have power?

I just got a call saying school will reopen on Wed. Is there any word that we will all have power by then?

When Willowdale gets power, does anyone know if Lakewood Estates will get power also? Allison Drive?

Thanks for everything.

When will Villere Place be powered?

The estimate from Entergy is a week and a half from Tuesday (9/2).

So you are saying the END OF NEXT WEEK before Willowdale/ridge has power?? This is UNACCEPTABLE! How are we supposed to go to work and send our children to school with no power? We pay way too much in property taxes for this! THIS IS COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!

I believe that Entergy should seperate Willowridge/Willowdale considering we are all underground. If they don't want to pay to put everyone underground then we should be divided.

Is Davis Plantation and Willowdale be considered the same? I live off of Albania Drive and was wondering about power being restored. Any info is appreciated.

There is a pole down along Texaco Rd. that supports lines feeding Lakewood Estates. I doubt we'll have power until this is fixed. I've not seen any Entergy trucks in this area. I also believe Lakewood Estates power outage is independent of anything in Willowdale due to the location of the lines feeding Lakewood Estates.

Willowridge area now has power as of 6:00 PM Friday night (includes Willowridge, Cypress, Wisteria, Dogwood, Live Oak, Choctaw, etc.)

Most of Willowdale blvd seems to have power as well as Cottage, Savanna, Beaupre.
