I would love to know what is the problem with getting power to Ashton plantation! Our community has underground wiring and still NO POWER!

It is very disappointing to see many power trucks at work on river road and still no results.
The entire Ashton Community is disgusted with the power company's response.

Let's get it done before the next storm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I also live in Ashton and I am so upset and annoyed that we are still without power. I have yet to see one power truck in the area and I too would love to know what is taking so long. I feel like we were forgotten about here.

We also live in Ashton and feel the same way. It just made matters worse that we THOUGHT that power would be restored by 8pm Friday. Can we at least get an update?

jeremy --- are you sure Allison has power? the whole street? i live at the end of the street and just called my house and i don't think we have power yet... i hope you're right though... it's been too long!

The only thing I can predict is that something must have changed... the updated we get from Entergy are very general usually and I have a feeling that 8 p.m. deadline was way too specific to be held to, if you know what I mean!

Every day we get new information so stay tuned for it. I'm still out of power in Hahnville myself so I am with you!

Magnolia Manor and paradis still have no power. Where is our Parish President? I don't think I have seen this guy since we elected him. It would be nice to know he is chewing some Entergy ass for us!!! 10 DAYS NO POWER!!!!

Whoever you are, you did a fine thing putting this together for people to communicate with.
I'm still waiting to hear from evac's who left Oklahoma on Thursday, promising to call and let me know they were safe...THANK YOU!

For the Ashton Plantation complainers... I live near Ashton Plantation and still had no power also. I went to the Entergy office in Luling on Saturday afternoon. The nice lady there said there was a problem with a line that feeds part of old Luling, Ashton and Phase III of Fashion Plantation. Since I haven't seen trucks in the first two mentioned areas I am assuming that the main problem was with Fashion Plantation. Luckily we got power restored about 9pm last night.

Just because the power lines are buried doesn't mean you won't have power problems. If your not getting power to those lines YOU WONT GET POWER. Since you can afford $300k+ homes I'm sure you can afford to get a natural gas fired whole house generator installed. My boss had a 40kw unit installed at his house in Baton Rouge and it's been running his house all week. Since I can't afford something like that, or even much smaller, I had to sleep in a hot and humid house with the windows opens to get a very small breeze.

I am concerned about a power line on St. Charles St in Norco. Three lines are blocking the road. I don't think there is power to it but a car driving thru at night that hits the lines could pull the pole down onto their car. I have called Entergy numberous times and they tell me they will put an emergency ticket for it but that has not happen. I understand public works saw it a couple of days after the storm and said they would need to do something about it right away but nothing has happened. Does anyone have a suggestion regarding who else I might call?

EOC is calling this in to Entergy. The public works department does not deal with power lines.

I guess the blog works well. Shortly after venting on this blog, I got power up. Seems that venting is good for you too. Love it when things work out. It did convince me to try to get that back up generator and join the rest of the Parish.
