Debris pickup update - Sept. 17

The second pass of debris removal will begin Monday, Sept. 22, Parish President V.J. St. Pierre said this afternoon.

All residents are asked to place the last of their storm debris curbside before Monday for this final pickup.

Please remember to separate 'green' debris (branches, leaves, etc.) from construction debris such as fencing and roofing materials.

Pickup along state highways should begin on Sept. 18, according DOTD officials.

We've had our green debris by the curb since September 6th and no one picked it up. We are in Country Cottage Estates in Montz. Will they pick up green debris in Country Cottage Estates on September 22nd?

I have had my debris out since 9/5 on Riverwood. I noticed the trucks picking up at some "special spots" all around me. What's up?

We live on Longview, the Ormond side. I put I green debris the Wed after Gustav. It still has not been picked up. I guess, that I should be happy that at least my garbage is getting picked up now, but it's pretty sad that this 2 block street gets passed over all the time. What gives?

Green debris on both sides of Hwy 631 in Des Allemands since storm. From east side of St Gertrude church all the way past the old Smile inn.

Debris was finally removed today in Willowridge. Thanks to the crew that picked up the debris for making a mess of my yard. Guess I should have done it myself.

Can a schedule by community be posted so that it could give us a better idea of when our debris willl be picked up. I find it hard to believe that those picking up the debris do not know ahead of time which areas they will be picking up on which days.

Green debris was picked up in Country Cottage Estates on 9/23/08. Thank you, I appreciate that. The box that houses our cable was demolished in the process, however. I'm not complaining, I just want whoever is in charge of the company's contract to be aware of the damage.
